Jane Blanchard interviews Diana Whitten.
Diana is a
filmmaker who has directed and designed films that have appeared in
over 25 international film festivals. A graduate of Tufts University
(BA), the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (BFA), and the
Newschool Program in International Media (MA), she was a Fulbright
Fellow to Indonesia in 2000 documenting the political use of shadow
theater. She is currently directing a documentary called, Vessel, the
story about the ship that sails “through loopholes in international
law, providing abortions at sea to women who have no other options.”

Sandy Rapp.
is a songwriter, activist, and author of God’s Country: A
Case Against Theocracy: The Haworth Press; 1991. Her best known songs
are “Remember Rose: A Song For Choice” and “Everyone Was At Stonewall.”
She received two OutMusic Award nominations, and served as a Grand
Marshal of the Long Island Pride Parade. Rapp’s premier of “Rise Up Ye
Women” at the NYU Law School was toasted in The New Yorker – 11/13/06.
In 2008 Rapp sang several of the Clinton rallies and wrote ‘She Will
