Jane Blanchard's guest, Janice Zarrois
the current Executive Director of the Women’s Resource Center of
Sarasota
County. The WRCSC is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization that has
been
serving women for thirty years. The WRCSC offers education, networking,
support
and referral services in the community.
Ms
Zarro had an exciting career in Washington D.C. and retired in Sarasota
County.
She left retirement to rekindle her long-standing interest in issues
affecting
women. “After finding that I flunked retirement, I found an opportunity
at the
Women’s Resource Center to give back to women in this community,
passionately
using my time and experiences.” She
is currently a member of the International
Women’s Forum, on the Board of Trustees for Doctor’s Hospital in
Sarasota, and
member of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, Sarasota.
